New exterior appearance and design features give Escalade buyers a sporty alternative
After being unveiled at the Dubai International Motor Show in November 2011, the Cadillac Escalade Sport is now available for sale across showrooms in the Middle East.
The iconic brand’s latest edition features a new exterior design treatment and provides a fresh alternative for Escalade buyers.
“The Escalade is an iconic and bold vehicle, but the Escalade Sport offers a new interpretation of that statement,” said Adrian Enciso, Cadillac Regional Brand Manager for the Middle East. “It offers a new choice for Escalade buyers to express their personalities.”
The new exterior design features include a restyled front fascia that features body-color surround and horizontal elements, with strong vertical chrome bars. Additional styling updates include redesigned front-fender vents, body-color side moldings and door handles.
The 2012 Sport collection also offers new 22” polished aluminum rims and optional LED headlamps.
Rear design enhancements include clear-tinted LED tail lamps and center high-mounted stop lamp, and a revised Cadillac emblem.
The Escalade Sport incorporates a multitude of luxury, performance and technology features inherent to the lineup, such as: Magnetic Ride Control, a power operated sunroof, Intellibeam headlamps, and Side Blind Zone Alert safety alert system, in addition to rear-seat entertainment system and power-assist steps that deploy automatically as the doors open and close.
The acclaimed Escalade Sport possesses the brand’s pioneered Magnetic Ride Control – an active suspension control system to improve ride performance which is usually available on Cadillac V-Series models.
As well as a modified exterior frame, the Cadillac Escalade Sport has also been upgraded with an impeccable interior in line with the Cadillac brand.
The Escalade Sport shares interior updates and features with the Escalade family, which includes a new center console lid with functional tray, a new rear camera with parking assist guides and navigation.
The Escalade, which has its biggest market in the Middle East outside the U.S, is also the world’s only luxury SUV with optional full-feature Light Emitting Diode (LED) headlamp technology. LED technology provides the most natural and crisp light in nighttime conditions, improving the driver’s forward vision. It is among a small group of vehicles in the world that use LEDs for all forward lighting.
The Escalade is complemented by the extended-length ESV model and the EXT model, which features a reconfigurable cargo bed with a segment-exclusive midgate, enabling the rear compartment to flex between passenger and cargo space.
In the Middle East, Escalade sales performances witnessed a 50% increase year to date compared to the same period in 2011.
In June 2011, the Escalade was voted number one by the J.D Power and Associates Initial Quality Study in the U.S. The brand topped the large premium crossover/SUV segment, according to the study. Thus becoming the highest-performing vehicle in its segment for the second-year running.
