Tahoe is the versatile full-size SUV that features a stunning exterior
design, a beautiful, functional interior that includes available
power-release second row and fold-flat third-row seats, and the
technology you need to stay connected to your world.
The all-new 2015 Tahoe full-size SUV offers a host of ingenious safety
technology, including the class-exclusive front center air bag designed
to help protect drivers and passengers from all sides. New to Tahoe,
these innovative driver assist technologies use strategically located
cameras and radar sensors around this full-size SUV to warn drivers of
potential risks on the road or even in a parking lot.
Rear Vision Camera
Standard on all models, the rear vision camera displays a view of the
area immediately behind the vehicle on the audio screen, making it
easier to see what's behind you while backing up. This feature helps
drivers maneuver Tahoe more efficiently, especially when hooking up a
trailer.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Available Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses the same radar sensors as the
Side Blind Zone Alert feature to help warn drivers of approaching cross
traffic when backing up. Visual and haptic alerts are triggered if
moving vehicles are detected.
Safety Alert Seat
Tahoe offers an available Safety Alert Seat that uses directional seat
vibrations on the left and/or right side of the driver seat cushion to
alert the driver of a potential threat. When a potential hazard occurs
from the front and rear, the system triggers pulses on both sides of the
seat.
Lane Change Alert
Working in tandem with Side Blind Zone Alert, available Lane Change
Alert employs long-range radar sensors in the rear quarter panels to
help detect and warn the driver of fast approaching vehicles in the
adjacent lane up to 70 meters away, not just in the blind zone areas.
Another available feature, Lane Departure Warning, gives you a haptic
alert if you drift out of your lane without using a turn signal.
Crash Imminent Braking
Available Crash Imminent Braking technology uses short-range radar and
ultrasonic sensors in the bumpers of Tahoe to help prevent or mitigate
front collisions. The system will alert the driver if the lead vehicle
slows unexpectedly. If the driver does not react quickly enough, the
system will automatically apply the brakes. The Crash Imminent Braking
feature operates whether the Adaptive Cruise Control is on or not.
